How is air produced?
A
It’s produced by the uneven heating of the earth’s surface by the sun

What causes the wind?
A
- The sun warms the Earth’s surface and the atmosphere
- Some parts of the Earth receive direct rays from the sun all year and are very warm.
- Other areas receive indirect rays so they’re colder.
- Warm air rises and cold air replaces the warm air.
- This makes wind blow

What is the Coriolis Effect?
A
- The Earth spins on its axis from west to east. This changes the direction of the wind.
- Winds are deflected to the right of their direction in the Northern Hemisphere.
- Winds are deflected to the left of their direction in the Southern Hemisphere
