- Longer journey times disliked by citizens

- Tsar has complete power and the citizens have no say in who the Tsar is
- Dictatorship ruled by Tsar with a small council of ministers

- Long laborious farming process to produce not much food, meaning not much money was made
- Citizens unhappy as government not trying to help

- Factory workers living in poor housing with low standards
