Taking the blame
People of Germany would be angered. Anger towards leaders that led them into the war and signed the Treaty of Versailles. Some Germans that signed the treaty were assassinated by rebels. Increasing support to extremist parties.
Smaller army
Resentment and anger - feel weak. Desire to get army back and get revenge. Causes frustration that Germany doesn’t have an army, take any opportunity when one arises (Hitler). Nothing to lose when Hitler comes. Put people out of jobs. German government struggled to maintain themselves and protect politicians. Didn’t have a large enough government to keep control.
Paying for damage
Economic damage to Germany, support for extremist political parties. Desperation, turn of German people to extreme views towards the Nazis.
Self determination
Germany easily picks off smaller countries one by one as they have smaller armies. Hatred towards Britain and France, could lead to war.
