A

comes just from the upper part of the vineyard. Ravishing lemon and lime with a classy mineral, very slightly reductive nose in the gunflint style.

There is huge density right from the start of the palate then a little touch of bitters, a little flesh from the oak, almost opulent but it knows better!

Grapes harvested by hand and carried to the winery before being pneumatically pressed at low pressure. The must then settles for a period of 1-2 days before being gravity-fed to barrels for fermentation and maturation.

Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru ‘Clos Saint-Jean’, Domaine Paul Pillot

A

These vines are from the Premier Cru plot of Clos Saint Jean, one of the highest altitudes in Chassagne. Vines are 40-50 years old. The wine is fermented and aged in 350L barrels, 10% of which are new, for 12 months, followed by 6 months in tank.

Santenay ‘Les Charrons’, Domaine Jerome Fornerot

  • 15% new oak, has a well-defined bouquet of brioche commingling with apple blossom and light orange pith scents. The palate is well-balanced with a surfeit of tropical fruit on the entry: orange pith, passion fruit and mango, more lime with aeration. There is an underlying tanginess towards the finish, completing a white Santenay that will be very difficult to resist.

This young plot gives beautiful white wines, with floral aromas,
and a fresh mouth.

1 year in oak barrels (15% new oak) then 6 months in stainless steel vats

Suave and delicious wine with a nice refreshing finish.
Blood orange flavors impart a beautiful energy.

Clos Reyssier was classified as a premier cru from 2020. .12 hectares

Quite a twang on the front palate. It’s straight and channelled with plenty of energy. Cold sapidity on the finish.

Aged 12 months in oak barrels
(including 15% new barrels) then 6 months in stainless
steel vats.
