Myocardial Infarction
Tachycardia
Irregular pulse
Increased resp rate
fever present day after
Angina
physical exam normal for stable angina
Positive Levine sign (when a patient puts their fist over their chest to indicate pain)
Atrial Fibrillation
irregularly irregular pulse
will commonly be tachycardic
DVT
possible calf pain on dorsiflexion
reddish purple, warm calf
heart failure
rales (bubbling in lungs)/ decreased breath sounds on lung auscultation indicative of pulmonary oedema caused by the LVF
patients with LV failure may be dyspneic when lying flat without elevation of the head for more than few minutes
severe heart failure appears anxious and air hungry
chronic severe HF is malnourished
