Person Perception
How we form impressions of other people; this is done very quickly and very easily.
Social Psychology
The scientific study of the ways in which people’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the real or perceived presence of others. (It includes how we perceive other people and situations; how we respond to other people and they respond to us; how we are affected by social situations.)
Mere Exposure Effect
The more we see someone or something, the more we like them/it. (We like things that we’re exposed to.)
Intrapersonal Phenomena
Occurs within a person.
Interpersonal Phenomena
Interactions between two people.
Group Phenomena
How we act in groups, and how it affects our attitudes/behaviors.
Weapons Effect
People behave more aggressively in the presence of weapons.
