Why were many Germans angry at the Government for signing the armistice?
The Kaiser had told them they were winning the war and therefore when Germany surrendered couldn’t understand why or how. This meant they blamed the government
What was the stab in the back myth?
That Germany could have won the war had the army not been stabbed in the back by weak politicians who were too cowardly to fight on.
What problems did the Weimar Government face when they came to power?
Economic issues; bankrupted by WW1 Food shortages Blame and anger of the public Opposition; left & right wing Widespread mistrust and discourse
