a) 1933- Teachers had to be members of the nazi party, anyone who wasn’t could be sacked. They had to swear an oath of loyalty to hitler.
b) Eugenics was introduced to teach children ideas about the ‘master’ race; PE lessons were increased to ensure that boys were fit to be the soldiers of the future
c) history textbooks were rewritten they taught that jews were evil and the treaty of Versailles was unfair and should be removed
d) 1935 Nuremburg laws meant that jewish students were banned from school

Explain the 4 attempts by hitler to reduce unemployment

A
Autobahns- started in 1933, lots of long motorways build around germany. In 1935 125,000 men were employed to do autobahns. By 1938 3,500km of Autobahns was built
Invisible Unemployment- certain groups were removed from unemployment figures when they were banned from work (women,jews). People who were in labour/concentration camps were also not counted as unemployed.Part time written off as full time
Rearmament- lots of money spent on weapons. In 1935 hitler introduced conscription
Labour Service (RAD)-introduced in 1933, unemployed could join the RAD to help improve the state of Germany such as plating trees, fixing roads and picking up litter. In 1935 RAD was made compulsory because it was unpopular

Explain the 4 government schemes for workers

A

Strength through Joy- section of the DAF, rewarded workers for their work by organising activities such as Museum Tours (2.5 milliion involved ) and Cheap Holidays (700,000 involved)
Beauty of Labour- allowing workers to campaingn for better conditions in their workplaces. However, the workers had to build and decorate these facilities themselves.
German Labour Front- an organisation to ‘protect’ workers rights
