Week three OIA Upper E Flashcards
Origin of Bicep
Short head: coracoid process
Long head: supraglenoid tubercle
Insertion of bicep
radial tuberosity and bicipital aponeurosis
Action of bicep
flexion of the elbow and shoulder, supination of the forearm
Origin of tricep
Long: infra glenoid tubercle
Lateral: post, approx 1/2 of humerus
Medial: post, distal 1/2 humerus
Insertion of tricep
olecranon process
Action of tricep
All: Extend elbow
Long: extension and adduction of the shoulder
Origin of brachialis
anterier, distal 1/2 humerus
Anterior to the distal 1/2
Insertion of brachialis
tuberosity and coronoid of the ulna
Tub of coors Light
Action of brachialis
flexion of elbow
Origin of anconeus
lateral epicondyle of the humerus
Insertion of anconeus
olecranon process, the lateral edge of the ulnar shaft
Anconeus = olacronon process
Action of anconeus
extension of elbow
Origin of brachioradialis
proximal 2/3 lateral supracondylar ridge of humerus
Insertion of brachioradialis
radial styloid process
Radialis = radialis
Action of brachioradialis
Flexion of the elbow assists in resisted supination and pronation
Origin of Supinator
lateral epicondyle of the humerus. Radial collateral ligament. Annular ligament.
Laterale is epic, radial is cold and annular eclips.
