preset
a configuration of settings, designed to achieve a certain look or style of your photo.
contrast
the visual ratio of different tones in an image. This difference is what creates the textures, highlights, shadows, colors and clarity in a photograph.
image sharpening
an effect applied to digital images to give them a sharper appearance. Almost all lenses can benefit from at least a small amount of sharpening.
clarity
a part of contrast that can sharpen images. Clarity takes the mid-tones of an image and enhances them, bringing sharpness to a photo and increasing the texture found there.
hue
the aspect of color which is described as “red” or “yellow” etc. It is one of the three main attributes of perceived color. The other two are saturation and brightness.
saturation
describes the depth or intensity of color present within an image. Saturation is also referred to as ‘chroma’; The more saturated an image is the more colorful and vibrant it will appear, less color saturation will make an image appear subdued or muted.
luminance
a measure to describe the perceived brightness of a color. Visually perceived brightness of a color.
vibrance
a smart-tool which cleverly increases the intensity of the more muted colors and leaves the already well-saturated colors alone. It can also prevents skin tones from becoming overly saturated and unnatural.
