Q

What happens during light adaptation

A
  • Both rods and cones are strongly stimulated
  • Large amounts of visual pigments break down almost instantaneously, producing a flood of signals that accounts for glare.
  • Cones take over and visual acuity is gained and retinal sensitivity is lost.
