2
Q
What happens during light adaptation
A
- Both rods and cones are strongly stimulated
- Large amounts of visual pigments break down almost instantaneously, producing a flood of signals that accounts for glare.
- Cones take over and visual acuity is gained and retinal sensitivity is lost.
