Q

ligaments of elbow joint

A

1. medial (ulnar) collateral ligament (MCL)
- anterior band –> strongest, provides valgus and anteroposterior stability
- posterior band
- oblique (transverse) band –> from ulna to ulna

2. lateral (radial) collateral ligamentous complex
- lateral (radial) collateral ligament (LCL) –> deep fibers: lateral ulnar collateral ligament (LUCL)
- annular ligament
–> forms fibro-osseous ring that encircles the head of radius
–> flexibility to let radial head move pronation and supination

  2. median
  3. musculocutaneous
17
Q

blood supply of proximal (superior) radioulnar joint

A
  1. profounda brachii (middle and radial collateral branches)

20
Q

proximal and distal attachment of pronator teres

ulnar and humeral head

A
