what is essential fat and what is the percentage for males and females
fat that is required for normal functions and for males its 3% of body weight and for females its 12%
what is storage fat
fat that is around organs and under the skin and is not essential and is usually unhealthy
what is TEE
TEE= BMR+DIT+EEA
what is the basal metabolic
its the energy required to maintain minimum function and staying alive 20-25 kcal/kg
what are some flaws of bmi
smokers have lower bmi since smoking lowers appetite but that doesn’t mean the smoker is healthy , cant really measure fitness, body builders
what is digestion induced thermogenesis
it is the energy required to digest food 15% of protein calories, 10% of carb calories, 5% of fat calories
what is energy expenditure of activity
its the energy cost of all physical activity, : running etc
