4 Characteristics of Team Cohesion

  1. Multidimensional:
  • Cohesion is the sum of several interrelated factors.
  1. Dynamic:
  • Cohesion does tend to fluctuate over time.
  1. Affective:
  • The emotional state of the athlete (how they feel about one another).
  1. Instrumental:
  • Goals + objectives are the most obvious features that keep a team united (ex. the goal of winning the champions league).

A
