A
a defective development of any part of the spinal cord, usually the lower segments

what are the two kinds of spina bifida

occulta (closed and not visible) and aperta (meningocele and myelomenengicele) open, and you can visualize them

what are some common characteristics of spina bifida occulta
A
tuft of hair, pigmented skin, dimples on the lower back, lipoma, (fat in the subcutaneous tissue.)
