What is cerebral palsy?
A permanent impairment of movement and posture resulting from a non-progressive brain disorder due to hereditary factors or events during pregnancy, delivery, neonatal period and the first 2-3/5 y of life
What are the different types of a) hypertonic and b) hypotonic CP?
a) Spastic, dystonic
b) Athetoid, Ataxic
What are the 5 levels of the GMFCS?
1 - Walks w/o restrictions; limitations in more advanced GMS
2 - Walks w/o assistive devices; limitations walking outdoors and in the community
3 - Walks with assistive devices; limitations walking outdoors and in community
4 - Self mobility with limitations; children transported or use power mobility outdoors and in community

What is hydrocephalus?
Increased CSF in ventricles of brain
What is muscular dystrophy?
MD are a group of inherited genetic conditions that gradually cause the muscles to weaken, leading to increasing disability. Caused by gene mutations in genes responsible for muscle structure and function.
