What is Autonomic Dysreflexia and what level SCI does it affect?
Serious, acute medical event whereby noxious stimuli cause an increase in BP, which ANS cannot control or regulate leading to CV response of further increased BP and HR
T6 and above
What is a tenodensis grip?
Ability to passively utilise natural propensity to create finger flexion through wrist extension due to tension in long finger flexors when no motor activity in fingers/ wrist flexion
Define postural hypotension
Sustained reduction in systolic BP of at least 20mmHg or 10mmHg diastolic within 3 minutes of standing
