Week 5 - Shoulder Girdle Flashcards
back joint motions
Elevation/depression
protraction/retraction
upward rotation/downward rotation
Scapular tilt
Scapulohumeral rhythm
first 30° of shoulder joint movement is all shoulder joint motion
After: every 2° of shoulder flexion/abduction occurring, means scapula must upwardly rotate 1°
2:1 ratio
Upper traps OIA
O: Occipital bone & nuchal ligament (C SP)
I: Lateral clavicle and acromion process
A: Elevate scapula and upward rotation
Middle traps OIA
O: SPs of lower C and upper T vertebrae
I: Acromion process and spine of scapula
A: Scapular retraction
Lower traps OIA
O: SPs of middle-lower T vertebrae
I: spine of scapula (base)
A: Scapular depression and upwards rotation
Levator scapula OIA
