What is tuberculosis?
Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infectious disease. It is a condition that is both preventable and curable, and yet remains a significant cause of mortality worldwide. TB is caused by bacteria of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex.
Symptoms of tuberculosis?
Cough >3 weeks, coughing blood or sputum, chest pain, weakness or fatigue, no appetite, weight loss, fever and/or chills, night sweats.
Drugs for tuberculosis?
Isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol, pyrazinamide.
HIV drug classes?
Attachment/fusion inhibitors, reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTI/NtRTIs), (NNRTIs). Integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTIs), HIV-protease inhibitors (HIV-PIs).
First line treatment for uncomplicated malaria?
Artemether with lumefantrine.
