-task generic, teammate generic: transportable team competencies- useful in any team and ant task
-task specefic, teammate generic: task specefic compentencies–> applicable to performing required task no matter who on team
-task generic, team specefic: team specefic compentencies–> useful for working with this team, regardless of task
-task specefic, team specefic: situation specefic competencies–> applicable to working on specefic task, with specefic team
what are transportable team compentencies
o Few generic team competencies that can influence effectiveness in any team setting some can be trained and developed but some not so much like personality traits
when are transportable team competencies important
1- people serve more than 1 team at a time (dynamic memebership)

refers to the capability to preform higher mental processes of reasoning, recalling, understanding, and problem-solving. It doesn’t refer to what someone knows.
