What is the main source of English Law?
A
Parliament who create statutes/acts/pieces of legislation

If you see something with Act at the end of it, eg the Consumers Rights Act 2015, what do we know?
A
It has come through the traditional passing of a piece of legislation - started in Parliament

What is the other source of English Law?
A
Courts aka common law aka case law - decision making from judges

Why do we not have all legislation from Parliament?
A
Parliament could not possibly cover every scenario - don’t have time or resources
