the paris commune is a radical socialist and revolutionary government that ruled paris from 18 march - 28 may 1871

goals –> focused on getting rid of the existing power hierarchies that privileged those in power and the upper classes and oppressed the rest of society.

the state formulates imposes and enforces laws and taxes but the growth of trade and commerce adds a new dimension to bureaucracy

for marx bureacracy rarely creates wealth by itsel but rather controls coordinates and governs the production, distribution and consumption of wealth

the bureacracy as a social strata derives it income form the social surplus of human labour

wealth is distribute by the bureacracy by laws through fees, taxes and licensing

bureacracy is a web of illusions, the illusion of state,
- the state is a circle no one can leave, its hierarchy is the hierearcy of information and the main essence is secret. the Mystery sustained withing bureacracy is maintained as closed corporation

what did the paris commune do

A

= Disestablishment of the church
Priests were sent back to small villages
= The whole of educational institutions were opened to the people
No interference of Church and the state
Education made accesible to all
Science freed from class prejudice—open to everyone
= Like rest of the public servants, magistrates and judges were to be elected and revocable
= Basically an attempt to break down the state power
= With labor emancipated, every man becomes a working man and productive labor is not a class attribute anymore.
İntends to abolish private property, class property
= Aimed to transform the means of production, land and capital into mere instruments of free labor
