Cognitive processes that form complex aspects of behaviour.
Perception, knowledge and goals to bias a selection of action and thoughts from a multitude of possibilities.

What is an example of cognitive control?
Override an urge to eat something bad in order to reach a goal. (loose weight)
What is perseveration?
Continue a response even when the response is wrong
What is the Wisconsin Card Sorting test?
Matching cards by either number, colour or shape. The instructor changes the pattern and tells participant correct or not
