Causes of Population aging
- Increased longevity
- decreased fertility

- increased in health care and pension cost
- increased need for home care and community services

the systematic stereotyping of and discrimination against older adults because they are old

- Discrimination against older adults by younger adults
- Discriminatory attitude towards older adults by older adults themselves
- Discriminatory policies and practices

A belief or process supporting the primacy of individual choice freedom and self-responsibility
Economic rationalism/ liberalism
Terms used to describe a political philosophy based on small government and market-oriented policies such as deregulation, privatization, reduced government spending and lower taxation
