Week 10A Flashcards
3 roles of the cerebellum
A) Planning movements
B) Coordination of movements
C) Balance contro
why can u not tickle yourself ? what happens when someone tikles u
Corollary discharge inhibit the afferent feedback from self-generated movements
you don’t have efference copy to generate corollary disscharge –> nothing gets inhibited and affernt info gets passe donto cortex
briefly explain the tit for tat experiemtn and how it relates to corllary disharge?
Subject 1 is given a 0.25N force on their finger, and the trio replicates that force on subject 2. However, they end up pushing much harder because of a corollary effect.
Subject 1 predicts the sensory feedback form their own movment making the force feel weaker than it is and to match the force th overcompessate
when subjsct 2 replicates the same thing occurs and force escalates with each cycle
