Subscapularis
O: Subscapular fossa of scapula
I: Lesser tubercle of humerus
Inner: Upper subscapular nerve & lower subscapular nerve
A: Internal rotation of arm
Latissimus Dorsi
O: Spinous process T7-T12, Thoracolumbar fascia, iliac crest, Last 3 ribs, and inferior angle of scapula
I: Floor of the intertubercular groove of the humerus
Inner: Thoracodorsal Nerve
A: Exention, Adduction, internal rotation of shoulder.
Depression, downward rotation scapula
Teres Major
O: Posterior surface of inferior angle of scapula, lateral border of scapula
I: Crest of lesser tubercle of humerus
Inner: Lower subscapular nerve
A: Adduction, internal rotation of shoulder
Triceps Brachii
O:
- Long head- infraglenoid tubercle of the scapula
- Medial head- posterior medial humerus
- Lateral head- posterior lateral humerus
I: Olecranon process of ulna
Inner: Radial Nerve
A: Long Head: Extension, adduction at shoulder.
-Elbow extension
Deltoid
O: Lateral 1/3 clavicle, acromion, spine of scapula
I: Deltoid tuberosity of humerus
Inner: Axillary nerve
A: Abduction (middle fibers), Flexion & internal rotation (anterior fibers), Extension & external rotation (posterior fibers)
Pectoralis Major
O: Medial 1/2 of clavicle (head), sternal cartilage of ribs 1-6 (sternocostal head)
I: Crest of greater tubercle of humerus
Inner: Medial pectoral nerve, lateral pectoral nerve
A: Adduction, internal rotation and flexion of shoulder
Bicpes Brachii (Long & short head)
O: Long - supraglenoid tubercle of scapula, Short - coracoid process of scapula
I: Radial tuberosity via bicipital aponeurosis
Inner: Musculocutaneous Nervei
A: Shoulder: Flexion (both), Adduction (short), Abduction (long), Forearm: Supinator of forearm,
Flexion of elbow (most effective when forearm is supinated)
Coracobrachialis
O: Coracoid process of scapula
I: Middle third of medial shaft of humerus
Inner: Musculocutaneous Nerve
A: Flexion, adduction shoudler
Pectoralis Minor
O: Ribs 3, 4 and 5
I: Coracoid process of scapula
Inner: Medial pectoral nerve
A: Depression, downward roation of scapula
Serratus Anterior
O: External surface of ribs 1-8
I: Anterior surface of medial border of scapula
Inner: Long thoractracic nerve
A: Protraction, upward rotation of scapula
Trapezius
O: Skull, nuchal ligament, spinous process C7-T12
I: Lateral 1/3 clavicle, acromion, spine of the scapula
Inner: Accessory Nerve (Cranial Nerve XI)
A: Elevaltion, upward rotation (Upper fibers), Retraction (middle fibers), Depression, upward rotation (lower fibers).
Rhomboid Minor
O: spinous process C7-T1 vertebrae
I: Medial border of scapula at the spine of the scapula
Inner: Dorsal scapular
A: Retraction, elevation, downward rotation scapula
