What is physical weathering?
A
when rock sizes are reduced, intact rocks break into smaller pieces or debris

what is chemical weathering?
A
when chemical reactions alter or destroy minerals when rock comes in contact with water solutions or air.

What is frost wedging?
A
This occurs when trapped water in joints freeze and it expands which causes the joint to grow.

A
This occurs with root wedging, when tree roots grow they apply pressure to their surroundings and can push joints open.
