A tapered appearance is where the outline of the soldiers hair conforms to the shape of the head curving inward to the natural termination point at the base of the neck

What is the maximum authorized length of sideburns?
The sideburn will not exceed 1/8 inch when fully extended
When are males required to keep their face clean shaven?
When I’m uniform or in civilian clothes on duty
What is the maximum length authorized for medical treatment?
The length of the beard cannot exceed 1/4 inch but must be specified on the profile

What is short length hair?
Length that extends no more than 1 inch from the scalp (excluding bangs)
What is medium length?
Hair does not extend beyond the lower edge of the collar (in all uniforms) and extends more than 1inch from the scalp

Hair that extends beyond the lower edge of the collar
What jewelry is authorized to wear in uniform?
Watch, ID bracelet, and 2 rings
Is a wedding set considered 2 rings?
No, only 1 ring
What are considered class C uniforms?
Combat / utility / hospital duty/ food service
What activities will soldiers not walk while engaged in?
Activities that would interfere with the hand salute and greeting of the day. Or detract from professional image
Are soldiers allowed to place their hands in their pockets?
No, only except to retrieve items
What color must a shoulder bag be if carried in uniform?
Black/ or match the pattern being worn/ it must have no commercial logos
What type of eyeglasses / sunglasses are authorized to wear?
Conservative/ ballistic

Red / yellow/ blue / purple/ bright green/ orange

Where are unit awards worn on a female in dress blues?
Emblems with or w/o frames are worn centered on the right side of the uniform, with the bottom edge 1 1/2 inch above the top edge of the name plate
