They counsel the soldier by the 15th including why the soldier wasn’t recommended and what can be done to correct the deficiencies that lack promotion potential
Provide the counseling to the BN HR for processing
What are the rules for removing a soldier from the recommended promotion list?
Inform the soldier of the removal in writing
Retain promotion packets for 2 years at the BN level and 3 years at RHA
Inform soldier within 5 days of removal
Once removed the action is final
What must be done to promote attached personnel?
The parent unit must be aware and agree upon attached personnel’s promotion
