Safely tolerated dose = 1mg/kg

What are symptoms of fluoride toxicity?
Nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting
What is the management of fluoride toxicity?
1mg/kg give calcium orally (milk) and observe
5-15 mg/kg give milk and take to hospital
>15 mg take straight to hospital and get IV calcium gluconate and cardiac monitoring
What is the treatment of fluorosis?
Acid micro-abrasion
