  • teach people about the importance of water
  • fix water leaks immediately (incl. taps that drip)
  • install water saving devices (taps & toilets)
  • do NOT wash dishes with water running continously
  • only wash full loads of laundry and dishes
  • shower rather than bath
  • replace old toilets with new ones that use less water
  • sweep rather than hose down driveways and patios
  • direct rainwater to lawns

  1. Grow plants on bare areas to preven the soil washing away
  2. Never pour anything other than water down drains
  3. Do not litter
  4. Check cars for oil / leaks & recycle motor oil

  7. Use fertilisers sparingly & avoid harmful pesticides
  8. Keep human waste away from water
  9. Ask the government for better water-protection laws
