A

Group of the President’s Chief advisors, the heads of the departments. (The cabinet is NOT in the constitution, Washington created it)

A

Thomas Jefferson (Secretary of State), Alexander Hamilton (Secretary of the Treasury), Henry Knox (Secretary of War), and Edmund Randolph (Attorney General). The Vice President was NOT a part of the Cabinet.

What were the Federalists vs Anti-Federalists views on the National Bank?

A

Federalists: Believe the elastic clause (necessary and proper…) gives the government to power to create it and the U.S. will gain Funding from outside sources promoting the best interest of the nation.
Anti: Believe since it’s not in the constitution if created it would be unconstitutional.

Why is the Capital moved from NYC to Washington D.C.?

A

For Hamilton to gain support from the Southern States for the National Bank they proposed moving the capital to the south (part of Maryland and Virginia).

A

Democratic: Limiting the power of the national government, strict interpretation of the constitution, an economy based on farming (Jefferson)
Federalists: Strong National government, Loose interpretation of the constitution, an economy based on shipping and manufacturing (Hamilton)
