What does black vs. green vs amber vs red mean on terrain display?
Black = no terrain within 2,000 ft of a/c, or within 400ft of the nearest airport runway info. Green= 500-2000ft below Amber = 500ft below - 2000ft above Red= more than 2000 ft above
- dotted magenta - no terrain data available
- Red and amber represent terrain conflicts!
-300 describe the alt alert system…
900 ft = alt light
300 ft = alt light extinguishes
dev 300ft = warning
dev 900 ft or recapture within 300 ft = warning cease
Describe the alt alert system…
750 ft = alt alert light
250 ft = alt light extinguishes
