The war of 1812 was a war fought between Great Britain in the U.S mainly over trade in the Ohio River Valley. It was fought because of Great Britain trying to restrict U.S trade and the U.S wanting to expand its borders.
What was the battle of new orleans and why was it so signifagant
The battle of New Orleans was a war fought after the war had already ended but the news of the treaty had not yet reached Andrew Jackson. The U.S did not have enough ammo so Jackson told his troops to not fire until they can see the white in there eyes and they ended up winning the battle and giving jackson his road to the white house
