(SA: n/a, SL: 2.5) 1. Set elastic above the facing notch and sew both ends at 1/8”. 2. Stretch the elastic and sew the top at 1/8”. 3. Serge the top edge. 4. Sew the elastic over and sew both ends at 1/8”. 5. Stretch and top stitch.

Edge Stitched Waistband

Answer 2

1. Interface the waistband, press in half WST. Press one side under 3/8”. 2. Right side of waistband to wrong side of base, sew at 3/8” 3. Burrito, sew the extension at 3/8”, 1/2” onto notch, 1.5 SL 1/4” at the corner. 4. Carve and clip the corner. Repeat. 4. Press everything in and edge stitch on the right side.

Curved Waistband

Answer 3

(SA: 3/8”, SL: 2.5”) 1. Interface waistbands, serge lower side of inner waistband. 2. RST sew the top of teh waistband 3/8”. Grade 1/8” off inner waistband, clip both. 3. Under stitch inner waistband. 4. Sew outer waistband RST with base. 5. Trim waistbands to match. 6. Sew the extension. 7. Stitch in the ditch.
