What is a food chain?
A food chain is a diagram that shows the feeding relationship between living organisms
What is a food web?
A network of food chains
What is a pyramid of numbers?
Representation of the number of organisms in each trophic level in a food chain (ascending order)
What is an ecosystem?
An ecosystem is made up of a habitat and a community
What is Mutualism?
When two or more organisms support or benefit one another
What is a Predator - Prey relationship?
It is where the predator hunts and kills the prey for food to ensure its survival
What is a Parasitic relationship?
A parasite is an organism that harms it host without killing it. It gains nutrients from the host (plant or animal)
What are two ways energy is lost at each trophic level?
It is lost through respiration and undigested food passed out as waste
What is electric current?
The rate at which positive electric charges flows in a circuit
Why does electricity not flow through insulators?
The electrons are not able to move freely
What is the conversion from Watt to killo-Watt hour?

What is power?
The amount of electric energy converted per unit of time
What is resistance?
A measure of the opposition to the flow of current in an electrical circuit
