Q

Dismissal of theory ?

A

Fis Phenomenon
- Effectiveness of CDS - CDS can be seen as unnecessary if a child is not ready to produce grammatically correct or complete utterances. Waste of time.

Q

Fis Phenomenon

A

A child says “ This is my fis “
Adult replies “ Your fis”
To which child replies “ No, my sis “
Study shows that CDS could been seen as unnecessary and useless due to the lack of phonological development the child has. Instead, caregivers should provide a standard model of speech for a child to copy.
