Vowel markers on consonants Flashcards

Bengali is written from left to right, like in English. If a vowel comes at the beginning of a word, you can write it with the letter above. Similar to other Brahmic scripts (and even Korean!), vowels are added to “decorate” consonants. If a vowel is pronounced after a consonant, it changes form and connects with the consonant.
