When a selected employee advises a supervisor that he/she responded to a test site for a drug test and the laboratory staff was unavailable and he/she is remaining on the site of the testing facility, what are the supervisor’s responsibilities?
The supervisor will complete a confidential Commander Information Report for employees deferred under these circumstances. This report will be immediately forwarded to the Drug Testing Coordinator upon completion.
What must a supervisor do if an employee, who is working a covert operation, reports that he or she ingested CDS to ensure their safety?
After ensuring that the employee reported the ingestion of CDS prior to the end of his or her watch the supervisor shall immediately notify the Drug Testing Coordinator. The Supervisor shall document the incident on a confidential memo to their Commander/Director who shall conclude whether or not the the ingestion was justified.
If a supervisor is alerted to an employee’s continued behaviors of erratic mood swings or potential explosive domestic problems, what should a supervisor do?
The supervisor should consult with the employee a voluntary referral to Psychological Services should be suggested if appropriate. For more serious cases, a supervisor shall notify their Commander for an Administrative Referral to Psychological Services
After a female employee gives her supervisor an Attending Physician Form indicating that she pregnant, what shall a supervisor do?
The Supervisor shall forward the Notification Form, via the chain of command, to the appropriate Assistant Chief

Deferred at the test site by the contract physician
