What is a supervisor’s responsibility when receiving a report of witness or victim intimidation by another officer?
Prepare a CIR and immediately notify the Director of OPR

The supervisor shall notify the Commander of the officer and complete a confidential CIR this copy should be forwarded to the employee’s Commander and to the Commander of the District in which the incident occurred.

- Make sure the responding officer’s responsibilities have been completed.
- Do a premise history check via Communications supervisor for at least 90days
- Notify the shift Commander who will notify the officer’s on-duty Commander
- the shift Commander will complete the CIR
Who shall an officer notify if he/she has been charged with a crime on a statement of charges, charged with a traffic violation mandating a court appearance and/or served with a warrant, criminal summons or protective order?

What must an investigator of a DUI involving an officer do if the officer is of a higher rank than the investigator?
Notify the officer’s supervisor. If the officer’s supervisor is not available, then notify the on-duty Commander or District Commander.
What happens if an officer refuses to submit to a chemical test for alcohol during the criminal phase of the investigation?
The officer shall be ordered to submit to a chemical test during the internal phase of the investigation.
