Analytics
The systematic computational analysis of data or statistics. It is used for the discovery, interpretation, and communication of meaningful patterns in data. It also entails applying data patterns towards effective decision making.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The theory and development of computer systems to be able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, and decision making.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
A strategy used to learn more about customers’ behaviors in order to develop stronger relationships; CRM is a process to better understand customers’ needs, using technology.
Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process of inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling data with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and supporting decision making.
Data Trail
The growing amount of personal information that is generated through our digital behavior and recorded by the increasing use of different digital services, systems, and tools.
Domain
The specific area or field in which software-based systems are utilized, such as web applications, customer information. Thought of as a particular field or function, activity, or interest, especially one over which a
group/function has control, influence, or rights.
Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
Combining Human Resources functions into one packaged software including: benefits administration, payroll, recruiting, training, performance analysis, and review. (also known as Human Capital Management: HCM, + Human Resource Information Systems: HRIS)
Internet Of Things (IOT)
Describes physical objects that are embedded with sensors, processing ability, software, and other technologies that connect & exchange data with other devices & systems over the internet or other communications networks.
Legacy System
A legacy system is an old method, technology, computer system, or application program, “of, relating to, or being a previous or outdated computer system,” yet still in use. Often referencing a system as “legacy” means that it paved the way for the standards that would follow it.
