Carding
The technique of removing undercoat from the follicles with the use of a carding tool or shedding rake.
Undercoat
the short, soft, dense hair that supports the outer coat
Coat King

Breed Standards

Canine Teeth
The two upper and two lower large, conical, pointed teeth lateral to the incisors and anterior to the premolars.
Occiput
Back point of the skull.
Rustic Coat
A coat that is left natural with a somewhat unkempt appearance. Tight ringlets/cords with a woolly texture.
Utility
The job a dog is bred for.
Variety
Certain breeds are bred with a variety of size/coat types. Ex: Collie has 2 coat types, rough or smooth. Poodle has 3 size varieties, toy, mini and standard.
Go To Ground
When vermin take refuge underground and dogs pursue them in their burrows.
Spay Coat
A coat that has changed in color and texture because the dog was spayed/ neutered.
Spring Game
Flush; to drive birds from cover, forcing them to fly away for spring.
