Major Prophets
Isaiah, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, and Daniel (length of the books were much longer)
Minor Prophets
All the other books listed (not Lamentations and Baruch) (shorter length of the book)
New Covenant
A description of the climax of Salvation history. The promise that God made that said he will forgive the sins of those who follow him
Septuagint
The oldest complete edition of the Old Testament in Greek (255 BC)
Evangelist
A Latin term that means “Preacher of the Gospel.” A person who proclaims the Good News of Jesus Christ
Gnosticism
A generic term for a variety of pre-Christian and early Christian heresies that taught that salvation rests on secret knowledge (varies cults of early Christianity)
Gentiles
A term for non-Jews or people not of the Jewish Faith
Kerygma
A Greek word which means “proclamation.” The proclamation of the Good News of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection.
