when finding a pulse first thing to do is
make sure your not occluding the vessel
if your not occluding the vessel move more
proximal until you find it
When counting the heart rate, unless other important reasons you can
can out for 15 or 30 seconds then multiply
When taking the apical pulse make sure to use what side of the stethoscope
diaphragm
When taking the apical pulse make sure to measure for
a full minute
Why do you make sure to measure out a full minute for the apical pulse
bx they may be taking meds or their pulse rate may be erratic
