5 Functions of Yuan Qi (Original Qi)
- Motive force. Arouses and moves the functional activities of the internal organs.
- Basis of Kidney-Qi. It lies at the gate of vitality.
- Facilitates the transformation of qi. Agent of change that transforms Gathering Qi into True Qi.
- Facilitates the transformation of blood. Changes Gu Qi (Food Qi) into blood.
- Comes out at the source points.
