Q

What are the 8 characteristics of life

A

DNA, response to environment, evolutionary, regulation, order, growth and development, energy processing and reproduction. Everything on the left which are eukarya and bacteria and archea are considered living. Viruses are not considered living because of missing characteristics.

Q

Describe the one step viral growth

A

One step viral growth compares the number of virions and how many days it grows. It has an eclipse period where virions are not present because they are inside the host cell. In the eclipse period replication occurs, once coming out it will increase the number of virions.
