Q

What is the Flight at Reduced Speed procedure ?

A
  • HALTE
  • Throttle reduced to 95 MPH
  • Stabilize heading and altitude
  • Extend gear and flaps
To recover :
1. Mixture full rich
2. Pitch full fine
3. Throttle full power
4.Flaps up
5.Gear up
When 120 MPH reduce power to maintain 140 MPH ( 18"Hg / 2400 RPM )

Q

What is the Stall in Cruise configuration Procedure ?

A

HALTE
Throttle = 10”Hg or less for manifold pressure
Maintain altitude
At 100 MPH slowly reduce power to idle ( don’t trim under 100 MPH )
After stall warning , at full stall call STALL

To recover :
1. Lower the nose below horizon control direction and bank
2. Mixture full rich
3. Pitch full fine
4. Power full
5. Flaps Up
6. Gear Up
When 120 MPH reduce power to maintain 140 MPH ( 18"Hg / 2400 RPM )

Q

What is the Approach to Stall in Landing configuration Procedure ?

A

HALTE
Throttle = 10-15”Hg for manifold pressure
“Flaps Speed” ( flaps 1/4), Maintain altitude and heading
“Gear Speed”, landing gear down, maintain Altitude and Heading
.Gear lights 3 green , “Flaps Speed”, Full flaps, Maintain Altitude and Heading
At Vyse = Power Idle, Don’t trim under 100 MPH
at 100 MPH slowly reduce power to idle ( don’t trim under 100 MPH )
At stall warning light or buffeting , call STALL and recover ( don’t wait full stall )

To recover :
1. Lower the nose below horizon control direction and bank
2. Mixture full rich
3. Pitch full fine
4. Power full
5. Flaps Up
6. Gear Up
When 120 MPH reduce power to maintain 140 MPH ( 18"Hg / 2400 RPM )

Q

What is the Steep Turn procedure ?

A

HALTE
Speed 140MPH ( if higher call entry speed )
Execute 180° Deg turn and roll back to initial heading at 45° bank angle.
Adjust power to maintain entry speed and altitude
