What is vertigo?
A
Episodic sudden sensation of circular motion of the body or its surroundings. Characteristically precipitated by turning the head or movement. Often seen with nystagmus.
80-85% due to an ear problem and so tinnitus and hearing disorders often associated.
In acute cases there is a reflex autonomic discharge producing sweating, pallor, nausea and vomiting
