• ONSET = IV/IO/IN 2 min, IM 15 min
• DURATION = 1-4 hours

• Generalized seizures lasting ≥ 5 min (includes seizure time prior to arrival of prehospital provider)
• partial seizure with respiratory compromise
• recurrent tonic / clonic seizures without lucid interval
