  • No palpable carotid pulse
  • No heart sound heard for 2 minutes
  • No breath sounds heard for 2 minutes
  • Fixed – non responsive and dilated pupils
  • No response to stimulus
  • No motor control
  • ECG strip shows no rhythm – asystole >2 min
