- No palpable carotid pulse
- No heart sound heard for 2 minutes
- No breath sounds heard for 2 minutes
- Fixed – non responsive and dilated pupils
- No response to stimulus
- No motor control
- ECG strip shows no rhythm – asystole >2 min
